Tampa Fanboy Expo 2015! Review and Photos

Each year I find myself saying "THIS was the best Fanboy ever!" It's true, I have heard some very valid complaints but these were complaints about the staff of the hosting Hotel not the convention itself, with that said a growing Con is never going to be "Perfect" for everyone because people have different ideas of how a Con should be ran. As a Con attendee and Fangirl Fatale booth member this is my personal review.
Year three certainly takes the cake for me! All of my favorite Iconic Men were here this year! Adam West and Burt Ward (The original Batman and Robin 1966)and Dave Prowse (Darth Vader).
It was such an honor to meet them and I thank Fanboy Expo for the opportunity to be part of the family this year!
Adam West said I did a lovely Julie Newmar Catwoman and that she was his favorite Catwoman! Burt Ward took 15 minutes out of his busy con schedule to have a conversation about his Large breed dog rescue and dog food that can help your fur baby live a much longer healthier life- Gentle Giants. You could tell he is a dog lover which I can relate! He even had notes on where we could find it local in our area!
Dave Prowse surprised me the most though! Emerald and I had seen him both Friday and Saturday but Sunday I attended alone and he waved me over to his booth. We chatted for a little bit then I said I had to go make my rounds walking the convention and he asked me to return when I was done! Who says no to Lord Vader?! I was more than happy to oblige! He invited me to sit with him as he signed and we spoke for about an hour longer, just two regular people talking! No Star wars just everyday hobbies and interests. We are both interested in Kinesiology. This was an amazing opportunity and I love getting to know the man behind the mask, He is a lovely person!
Tom Rose and Jeremy Bulloch (Admiral Ackbar and Boba Fett) were both a delight to meet! They both were so kind to Emerald getting autographs and taking photos on several days! Tim Rose even playfully held the "It's a trap" sign to Emerald's baby belly! Did you know that Tim Rose has never met Erik Bauersfeld? We spoke about it as he was signing my poster and I told him I got it last year here at Fanboy Expo!
Julius LeFlore is best known for several characters in Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi including Skiff Master, Biker Scout, Stormtrooper and Stunt double for Billy Dee Williams. He is soft spoken and very open to talking with all the fans. Away from the booth He called me over to introduce me to his friends and his most lovely wife! I was probably every shade of red as he said to his wife "This is the Catwoman I was telling you about last night!" She was so nice and made me feel like things were backwards! Meaning they made me feel like a star when I was the one honored they took the time to even speak with me! This is why I love Fanboy Expo so much! The personal fan experience!
James Marsters spent all of his time at the booth laughing it up and having fun with all the fans! We seen him three different times in the hotel and each time he said hello! and yes, he does have a nice chest :P
Tom Nguyen is best know for his work on Green Lantern, Batman, Catwoman, Superman, JLA, Ghostbusters, Marvel Legendary Gaming Set and many more! I always take the time to stop and talk with Tom, he is an amazing artist and all around person! He is also the very first person I ever met at Fanboy expo year one and I had no idea WHO he was at that time! Imagine my surprise!
I have way too many photos to add them all in this review but here are a few of my favorites from this past weekend!
The Fangirl Fatale girls were a delight to work with! The guests and other cosplayers were all respectful to each other! What more can I say?
How About...
Knoxville Here I come! October 16th-18th!
I've been invited to attend with "Two Faries And A Dwarf" How could I say no to that?! I love Fairies and Dwarves! So! Be sure to stop by the booth to say hello and smell all the leather goods! Man, their booth smells amazing!

Our Thankful Thanksgiving!

My son was in a really bad car accident within hours after landing in Austin. I was asked to help make the drive so that family could be there for those involved so off to TX we went!
I only got to spend 2 days with my son but it was enough to know he was alive, out of surgery and on his way to healing up! I think he had a very nice visit overall~ He got to spend time with loved ones in Dallas and I got to spend Thanksgiving with loved ones and my Best friend Sarah!
We did some site seeing while we were in town. Went to see the "Gone with the wind" exhibi, did some shopping with my bestie and you know I stopped by Dragons lair to see the new shop and visit friends!
Here are a few photos from our unplanned visit to Austin~ Thankfully the weather held out until we were headed back to Sunny Florida!
So much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Fanboy Expo Tampa 2014

“Are you ready Fanboy Expo? We are ready! Let's do this Tampa!!!” This was what we were saying on our way to the Hilton Hotel downtown Tampa last Friday at noon. We had NO idea the fangirl moments and nerdgasms that were in our future!
Emerald and I stayed with our friends Black Rose corsetry at the hotel this past weekend and it was AMAZING fun! You never knew where a star would pop up!
*In the hotel shop looking at things and BAM! Emerald Squeeeee's that's Jem! Samantha Newark
*Having Breakfast on Saturday morning and Richard Anderson walks in!
*Tuesday morning breakfast Michael Berryman walks by!
*Steven Williams. I ran into him EVERYWHERE in the elevator, on the con floor he even took my arm and left his booth to go get a photo taken with me! Big flirt who yelled across the con floor “Dang girl, the Kardashians ain’t got nothing on you!” /Blush…Why thank you Steven! I guess my Kardashian big booty workout is working! /Hahahaha Seriously he was hilarious!
*Cindy Sampson came to the Black Rose Corsetry booth to try on wigs and got a mini photo shoot done with Elizabeth! So freaking adorable and just a fangirl like the rest of us when it comes to the Winchesters!
*Scott Wilson visited the PJ dance party AND hung out after the con to keep talking with fans! (He noticed EVERY costume change I made! Pointing, waving and taking hugs.)
*Jewel Staite and Sean Maher from Firefly. What can I say? These two popped a bottle of wine at the Q&A table and just had fun with their fans! Smiles and Hugs all around! I mean really patient and friendly people!
I did not see Erik Bauersfeld wondering the halls and that is understandingly so being that this is a super rare appearance and he is 91 years old! I wanted to get a photo with him in my Silk Spectre cosplay and he wanted me to come sit in his lap. I was SO excited to meet him and when I said "Thank you so much!!" He said "No...Thank YOU" with his flirty little smile. He may be 91 years old but he hasn't forgotten how to be a ladies man! Who is he?! This is Admiral Akbar and Bib Fortuna from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. "It's A trap..."
I have been to Cons where there have been "bigger" names in attendance and paid twice even thrice the amount to attend but I have to say...This is my second year (and theirs here in Tampa!) and both were FAN freakin' tastic on all levels!
Yea, Yea it would be nice if the vendor/guest floor was a bit larger but I'm in no rush to force this fan friendly con into disorganized mess like some other cons happening here in Tampa...I enjoy not being elbows to assholes while on the vendor floor, I enjoy that the guest stars feel comfortable enough to join in at the PJ party or to walk freely through the hotel and mingle with the fans.
Fanboy Expo is on our yearly list! I hope you decide to check it out because trust me…You don’t wanna miss it!

Here are some photos from this weekend. Elizabteh from Black Rose Corsetry took most of them for us :)

Photo Shoot Silk Spectre and Kids!

Yesterday we had a ton of fun with Kent Akselsen during our 5 hour photo shoot!
We are very Thankful to have such kind and talented friends! I have worked with Kent several times and helped him out at "Necronomicon" 2013. Kent has background in photoing animals (Dogs mainly) and raises Great Danes. This experience gives him a real edge in doing cosplay shots because he is amazing at catching action shots! So you should look for him at any events in the Florida State!
If you have kid's esp. teens...Then you know how rare it is to have them in the same room, let alone smiling and having fun! Well my two were in the same room for over 5 hours yesterday and not one ill word or dirty look was to be had! Amazing! It's a Christmas miracle! I am beyond thrilled! These photo's are a gift in themselves!
Here are 8 of our Favorite photo's taken yesterday, All are still unedited (But i don't think we need anything edited except the background where the shot went off screen.
