My son was in a really bad car accident within hours after landing in Austin. I was asked to help make the drive so that family could be there for those involved so off to TX we went!
I only got to spend 2 days with my son but it was enough to know he was alive, out of surgery and on his way to healing up! I think he had a very nice visit overall~ He got to spend time with loved ones in Dallas and I got to spend Thanksgiving with loved ones and my Best friend Sarah!
We did some site seeing while we were in town. Went to see the "Gone with the wind" exhibi, did some shopping with my bestie and you know I stopped by Dragons lair to see the new shop and visit friends!
Here are a few photos from our unplanned visit to Austin~ Thankfully the weather held out until we were headed back to Sunny Florida! So much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Going to “try” and get some more postings up for 09!
Things have been kind of slow around here. We bought a new home last August and we have nearly gutted the entire house. We are walking on concrete foundation and looking at sheetrock ceilings…Most of our belongings are still in boxes out in the garage and the living room furniture is still at the other house (The one we cant seem to sell!)
We are still playing WOW when we have time and the Wii is hooked up in Little D’s bedroom but most of our time is being spent on house repairs.
This coming weekends goal… Scrape the ceiling in the Formal Dine, Living, kitchen and Den. Also to get the kids to write a review for whatever game they want to.It sure will be nice when the house is finished and all our Pc’s have a dust free place to call home!
“I think that the REPO! Road Tour must be seen to be believed. REPO! has inspired a community, and that community shows up in force on the road tour to bond, sing, and show off their fan-made REPO! costumes and props. I imagine this is what being there on the ground floor of The Rocky Horror Picture Show experience 33 years ago must have been like.” Stated Terrance Zdunich Actor/Co Creator."This is EXACTLY the way I feel!
This movie is amazing! It is definitely going to be the next costumed fan craze!
We went to see Repo with my Sister in-law, my friend and my friend’s husband.
I don’t think my friends hubby liked it too much but OMG I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen! Plus we saw it at the Alamo here in Austin TX so we had food and my favorite cider! I could just imagine a spaghetti Repo night at the Alamo!
Just like the RHPS you MUST go see this movie at least once in your lifetime!
I’m going to buy it as soon as it hits DVD!
There are visions of costumes dancing in my head!GO SEE IT! http://www.repo-opera.com/
WOW: Wrath of the lich king
We promised our son “Little D the terror” last May for his Birthday that we would take him to the midnight release of WOTLK. So here we are bundling up for another chilly midnight release night at our local game stop.
It’s not as cold as it was for the release of burning crusade (it was snowing for that one!) but still chilly and on a school night!
We have two cold children and two cold parents standing in line to get four hot copies of the game!
The kids made out like bandits though the guy at game stop handed out sour candies and I even convinced the guy to give me the midnight release poster for Little D!
WOOT I love free LOOT!
Afterwards it was off to taco bell and then too….
Make our Death knights DUH!
I am so freaking excited!

Yup the only thing Geeky for the month of September is Natsu had a Heroes Birthday Party just in time for the new season!HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATSU!
Tonight we attended the RHPS at the Alamo.
We took our Daughter age 13 and one of my friends (A RHPS virgin as well).
The show here in Austin is a bit more risqué than the showings in FL that we are use to but nonetheless we had an awesome time!
Natsu knows the soundtrack to RHPS front ways and back so she was very excited to attend a live action showing of the movie. She only turned her head during a few scenes and it wasn’t because of the movie… I even got her to go up front with the rest of the RHPS virgins! KeK.It’s something everyone should do at least once in your lifetime or several if you’re a fan like me!

Educational gaming! We are currently trying this game out.
The controls are a bit tricky but the idea is good.1st Quest- Find a Mate! (Snicker)"Learn about wolf ecology by living the life of a wild wolf in Yellowstone National Park. Play alone or with friends in on-line multiplayer missions, explore the wilderness, hunt elk, and encounter stranger wolves in your quest to find a mate. Ultimately, your success will depend on forming a family pack, raising pups, and ensuring the survival of your pack.
The WolfQuest experience goes beyond the game with an active online community where you can discuss the game with other players, chat with wolf biologists, and share artwork and stories about wolves."

The Ice cream festival truck came to see us yesterday!SORRY I was so excited and exhausted yesterday I forgot to write about it!
I won a free visit from the Ice cream festivals ice cream truck with my Popsicle stick Mario and Wario sculptures back in August. I scheduled the visit for Natsu’s Birthday Party.
Right at 3pm the doorbell rang, it was the ice cream truck loaded with frozen goodness for our party! The kids went running wild yelling ICE CREAM WOOOOT!
The lady was so nice she even let the kids climb aboard the ice cream truck and pick what they wanted.
I know some kids had 3,4, and even 5 ice creams with in 45 minutes! CRAZY!
After the mad dash for free ice cream was over I sat down with a spoon and my individual size cup of old fashion vanilla blue bell ice cream and enjoyed every bite!
YAY Ice cream festival! YAY Mario and Wario! YAY FREE ICE CREAM!
