2014 New Year new goals!

I'm going to set my goals for 2014 to be the following:

1. Get back to hooping atleast twice a week since my spinal fusions..prior to I did 4-6 hrs a day 4-5 days a week as it was my workout. Not as easy now that it hurts. It's a great way to tone up!

2. Taking on the guitar "Learn to play in 60 Days" with RockSmith. The kids will be doing this too!
 
3. 12 Months of Cosplay. Where I will attempt to complete each one by the end of the month.(Got any ideas for me to consider?)

4. Spend more time celebrating Me and stop putting myself last (The Mothers frame of mind)

5. Keep up with any social media sites, Gofundme or blogs I have or delete them. (I wont delete my fund page just need to be more interactive) 

6. Get BOTH the kids to write some reviews or happenings here on our blog! (I know Natsu is currently working on one for Puzzle and Dragons phone app)

Photo Shoot Silk Spectre and Kids!

Yesterday we had a ton of fun with Kent Akselsen during our 5 hour photo shoot!

We are very Thankful to have such kind and talented friends! I have worked with Kent several times and helped him out at "Necronomicon" 2013. Kent has background in photoing animals (Dogs mainly) and raises Great Danes. This experience gives him a real edge in doing cosplay shots because he is amazing at catching action shots! So you should look for him at any events in the Florida State!

If you have kid's esp. teens...Then you know how rare it is to have them in the same room, let alone smiling and having fun! Well my two were in the same room for over 5 hours yesterday and not one ill word or dirty look was to be had! Amazing! It's a Christmas miracle! I am beyond thrilled! These photo's are a gift in themselves!

Here are 8 of our Favorite photo's taken yesterday, All are still unedited (But i don't think we need anything edited except the background where the shot went off screen.

We <3 Big bang theory! I've always wanted the Rubiks Cube tissue holder on the side table by Sheldon's spot. So I made one!

My heart would be overfilled if people joined and said why they thought I should win! I wonder if that is even possible? Or maybe I'm dreaming too large?

I really would like to remove the extra baggage left from weightloss..I've worked dang hard to get here and stay healthy.(-130#'s maintained for 4+years)

I'm not that person anymore and having this extra skin is taunting me like it's saying "just in case you decide to change your mind and come back, I've kept your old skin"

JBC Players of Tampa Holiday Meet Up

We had our Dec meet-up Sunday night! Lot's of fun was had by all!

The "White elephant" gift exchange went well. Lot's of geeky themed gifts were shared.

I know I will get "haters" but this is something that would change my life and I'm not giving up because of nay-sayers. I have worked hard to maintain my weight and try to keep my core as strong as I can while dealing with the spine of a 89 yr old..

This may seem vain, but the Dr's have said that getting that weight from extra skin and re-tightening my core muscles will help support my spine even more and lengthen the time before they have to go back in and fuse the other three..

So like I say on my page..
If I'm on a time limit then I'm going to live life to the limits set by myself.

Blogger App test post

Okay, I just downloaded the blogger app.. I didn't really want to because I'm on my phone all the time but it will make keeping up with my blog much easier (I hope)

About to find out if this is going to be one jumbled post or if the app auto inserts the \blockquotes for spacing.

So what am I saying really?
This is just a BS post to test out the app prior to posting some serious geeky stuff and getting upset that it's all a jumbled mess!

Making Christmas! Pt 1

Em and I have been busy making Christmas gifties for the "White elephant exchange" to be exchanged at the Just BeCos Players of Tampa December meet-up.

Can't wait to see everyone at the event and get our game on!

Cosplay: The making of Nana's Plaster cast sewing mold Post 2

Sorry had to put away personal projects for a bit while working on wardrobe for film shoot! Now that's finished I can get back to my body mold and hopefully complete it before the next film starts!

So re-cap...After the plastering, drying, and foaming of my body mold (see post 1 for more details) It's time to remove the plaster cast from the foam. A huge future helper here would be "You can't go overboard with the lubricant" as you can see I had some spots where the plaster sealed itself to the foam and I had to sand her down. To be fair though expect "Some" sanding no matter what. I re-measured myself and wrote the results right on my mold then sanded any lumpy areas until she met my correct measurements.

Next I will fine tune sand over her for smoothing, Fill in any holes from the foam bubbles with a hot-glue gun, and cover her in some stretchy material for eye candy.

Then she will be all ready for any Cosplay projects I have in the making! I can't wait to try out the roll of Worbla I picked up! ^.^ /Happy Dance
