SIDS AWARENESS Tears and Heartbreak Harvey Ray RIP

This post is backdated because honestly I just didn't want to post this heartbreaking news. It is with a heavy heart we inform you that we lost Baby Harvey Ray to SIDS on November 18th 2015. A friend of the family set up this "Go fund me" for Emerald and Derrick to help cover expenses. We thank everyone who donated and/or attended Harvey's celebration of Life ceremony. To learn more about SIDS please click the LINK here. October is SIDS Awareness month.
Harvey's life celebration was was full of love and Geekyness just like our family. Darth Vader, the flash, spider man, catwoman, Penguin, Winter soldier were just some of the heroes who came to pay their respects. The Roses you see were made from Harveys first FCBD comics and Emerald has them displayed in her dining room now. The after gathering was held at our local Applebee's and over 40 people attended, it was a full house. So much love.

Tampa Bay Comic Con 2015 Photos and Review

It seems the two options for this Convention is HOT as the Human Torch or WET as Aquaman!
Here is a photo of the forming line on Friday @8 A.M from the 16th floor of the hotel! It got MUCH longer and Saturday (and early Sunday) these con goers were in the pouring rain!
This convention is ALWAYS packed and seems to struggle a bit with proper signage for where things are located. (The security for this convention...That's an entire different and negative review!)
Roxy the Rancor was at the convention this year!
So, we are taking photos at the booth and the gentleman running the area asks if I wanted to use this prop. It was a HUGE bone almost as big as me! I laughed and said "No Thank You, that thing is Huge!" When from about two people behind him there was a deadpool waving a bone at me saying "you can use MY bone" and I say "Oh! Look at that cute little bone!" When he says "HEY NOW!" And his friend says "she called your bone little" so I quickly respond with "I mean, that's a perfectly adequate sized bone!" I thought Emerald Dee was gonna LOL to tears. What made it so funny is I never seen the guys face because...well deadpool! It was his body language that made it so funny! I didn't mean to insult the man's bone size @.@
Catwoman is tired of messing around! I'm thinking of hiring Boba Fett as one of my henchmen!
Got my dental check up while at TBCC and I'm all good! With Emma Rubini
Jack Skellington!
Princess Leia bought my Starwars tote bag!
These Killers aren't Clowning around! Chamber of Terror
The new corset I picked up for my future Cosplay as the "Red Queen" from Hellfire club. I bought it from Black Rose Corsetry.
I have to say it's the con goers that make TBCC worth attending for me. It's like a family reunion inside a sea of distant relative geeks and gamers! I had an amazing time talking with friends from online getting to know them more and meeting new faces too! I didn't get in one line! Not ONE! I didn't do any of the Q&A's or photo opts or Autographs etc. I worked the booth Friday and Saturday. Friday night after the vendor floor closed I went with my hotel mates to the Karaoke room, we went and did the "Time Warp" at the Rocky Horror Picture Show" room which was spilled out into the hallway packed and we watched the Geek Jeopardy type trivia match. Then, Saturday night I had an amazing time being escorted to "The Castle" for the first time since 1994/95 for the Charity after party. We met up with the classic 66' bat crew and laughed/danced the night away enjoying the Super Burlesque show! We cheered on the ever so lovely Claire (Tampa's Wonder Woman) from the front stage! I highly suggest you go like her page because she IS wonder Woman reincarnated! A FANtastic time was had!
Sunday was my chill day. No Cosplay just out on the floor as my geeky self (Even though I got a ton of "I love your Riddler cosplay" comments, it's just a dress I wear all the time LOL!
My Daughter, Her future husband and his little brother joined us Sunday to try and catch Carrie Fisher's Autograph but sadly that fell through. We all still had fun walking the floor and looking at/buying a few new things. Emerald and Derrick played games in the awesome game room Sponsored by the fine folks of Armada Games while I took Terry up to search for some comic loot! Then we all enjoyed a tasty lunch at "Precinct Pizza"
A special Shout out to all you who made this event a memorable one! Especially Elizabeth, Brian, Evan, Nick, Valerie, Emerald, Derrick, Terry and The Classic 66' Bat crew (I'll keep your secret identities safe!)
Now, it's time to rest and get back to normal until October!

Tampa Fanboy Expo 2015! Review and Photos

Each year I find myself saying "THIS was the best Fanboy ever!" It's true, I have heard some very valid complaints but these were complaints about the staff of the hosting Hotel not the convention itself, with that said a growing Con is never going to be "Perfect" for everyone because people have different ideas of how a Con should be ran. As a Con attendee and Fangirl Fatale booth member this is my personal review.
Year three certainly takes the cake for me! All of my favorite Iconic Men were here this year! Adam West and Burt Ward (The original Batman and Robin 1966)and Dave Prowse (Darth Vader).
It was such an honor to meet them and I thank Fanboy Expo for the opportunity to be part of the family this year!
Adam West said I did a lovely Julie Newmar Catwoman and that she was his favorite Catwoman! Burt Ward took 15 minutes out of his busy con schedule to have a conversation about his Large breed dog rescue and dog food that can help your fur baby live a much longer healthier life- Gentle Giants. You could tell he is a dog lover which I can relate! He even had notes on where we could find it local in our area!
Dave Prowse surprised me the most though! Emerald and I had seen him both Friday and Saturday but Sunday I attended alone and he waved me over to his booth. We chatted for a little bit then I said I had to go make my rounds walking the convention and he asked me to return when I was done! Who says no to Lord Vader?! I was more than happy to oblige! He invited me to sit with him as he signed and we spoke for about an hour longer, just two regular people talking! No Star wars just everyday hobbies and interests. We are both interested in Kinesiology. This was an amazing opportunity and I love getting to know the man behind the mask, He is a lovely person!
Tom Rose and Jeremy Bulloch (Admiral Ackbar and Boba Fett) were both a delight to meet! They both were so kind to Emerald getting autographs and taking photos on several days! Tim Rose even playfully held the "It's a trap" sign to Emerald's baby belly! Did you know that Tim Rose has never met Erik Bauersfeld? We spoke about it as he was signing my poster and I told him I got it last year here at Fanboy Expo!
Julius LeFlore is best known for several characters in Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi including Skiff Master, Biker Scout, Stormtrooper and Stunt double for Billy Dee Williams. He is soft spoken and very open to talking with all the fans. Away from the booth He called me over to introduce me to his friends and his most lovely wife! I was probably every shade of red as he said to his wife "This is the Catwoman I was telling you about last night!" She was so nice and made me feel like things were backwards! Meaning they made me feel like a star when I was the one honored they took the time to even speak with me! This is why I love Fanboy Expo so much! The personal fan experience!
James Marsters spent all of his time at the booth laughing it up and having fun with all the fans! We seen him three different times in the hotel and each time he said hello! and yes, he does have a nice chest :P
Tom Nguyen is best know for his work on Green Lantern, Batman, Catwoman, Superman, JLA, Ghostbusters, Marvel Legendary Gaming Set and many more! I always take the time to stop and talk with Tom, he is an amazing artist and all around person! He is also the very first person I ever met at Fanboy expo year one and I had no idea WHO he was at that time! Imagine my surprise!
I have way too many photos to add them all in this review but here are a few of my favorites from this past weekend!
The Fangirl Fatale girls were a delight to work with! The guests and other cosplayers were all respectful to each other! What more can I say?
How About...
Knoxville Here I come! October 16th-18th!
I've been invited to attend with "Two Faries And A Dwarf" How could I say no to that?! I love Fairies and Dwarves! So! Be sure to stop by the booth to say hello and smell all the leather goods! Man, their booth smells amazing!
